Laser Tattoo Removal
The Nd:YAG Q-Switch has been regarded as the gold standard in Laser Tattoo Removal for the past decade worldwide.
The pigment within the tattoo is made up of tiny granules – these are targeted by the laser in nanosecond pulses of energy. The effect is to shatter and disperse the pigment granules. These are then ingested (phagocytosed) by the white blood cells in the skin.
A typical course of treatment for a professional laser tattoo removal requires around 10 – 12 sessions.
Our state-of-the-art Q-Switched ND Yag Laser technology utilises laser energy at two wavelengths, 1064nm and 532nm, to target a wide range of tattoo pigments. The 1064nm wavelength is effective for removing darker pigments, such as black and blue, while the 532nm wavelength targets lighter pigments, such as red and orange. The ND Yag laser emits high-energy, short pulses of laser light that penetrate the skin and break down the tattoo ink particles, which are then eliminated by the body's immune system. With minimal downtime and customisable treatment options, ND Yag tattoo removal is a safe and effective way to remove unwanted tattoos.
IS LASER TATTOO REMOVAL RIGHT FOR ME?
It is important to note that certain lightly pigmented colours, may not respond as well to the treatment and can be more challenging to remove.
We recommend opting for a complimentary initial consultation, where we will provide a comprehensive evaluation of your eligibility and discuss the estimated number of sessions required to achieve your desired results.

HOW DOES LASER TATTOO REMOVAL WORK?
-
The laser works by delivering energy to the tattoo, breaking the ink particles into smaller pieces. The particles are eliminated through the body’s lymphatic system resulting in a lightening of the tattoo ink.
-
To completely remove the tattoo you will need multiple sessions. During these sessions, the ink particles gradually become smaller.
DOES LASER TATTOO REMOVAL HURT?
-
The sensation is often compared to that of getting a tattoo, but it is quicker. We offer various options to minimise discomfort, including numbing cream and ice.
CAN ALL TATTOO COLOURS BE REMOVED?
-
Some ink colours are more difficult to treat than others. Black and dark blue inks typically respond well to most lasers, while colours like green, light blue, and yellow can be more resistant.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?
The number of laser tattoo removal treatments will depend on the amount, colour and type of tattoo ink, the depth of tattoo ink into the skin and the method of tattoo application. Professional tattoos may require ten or more laser treatments, while self-applied tattoos may fade after fewer treatments.
WHAT KIND OF TECHNOLOGY IS USED?
We are equipped with a leading Q-Switched laser. It offers powerful, stable and reliable treatment for a wide range of medical and cosmetic indications. It is fast becoming well recognised for its ease of use and versatile applications. It’s equipped with three major modes and wavelengths: 1064nm, 532nm and the additional “China Doll Laser”.
HOW MUCH DOES TATTOO REMOVAL COST?
Our tattoo removal treatments start from $100, and vary depending on the size of your tattoo. If you are unsure of your tattoo size, we offer a completely cost free, no obligation consultation to new clients prior to beginning treatment where we will be able to give you a quote as well as an indication on how many sessions will be required to remove the tattoo.
HOW LONG IN BETWEEN TREATMENTS?
Tattoo removal treatments are conducted at minimum in 6-8 week intervals.
WILL MY TATTOO BE GONE COMPLETELY?
Most Black tattoos can be entirely removed using our laser. Based on the specific characteristics of your tattoo, our laser professionals will be open with you about what level of removal is most likely to be possible for your tattoo.
