Skin Ageing/Sagging
One of the hallmark signs of ageing skin is a loss of skin elasticity and laxity which presents to many as “sagging skin”.
With age, the skin itself changes with a loss of collagen and support as well as a loss of elastin. Elastin provides the skin with the ability to stretch and snap back into position. When elastin is lost the skin becomes loose and slack and is unable to maintain its structure and position.
With a loss of healthy collagen and a reduction in its production results in a loss of skin strength and thickness. As a result the skin presents as thinner and less firm skin.

Dark Circles Under The Eyes
Dark circles, hollowing, puffiness and loss of skin quality around the periorbital area is a very common problem and can be psychologically distressing to many.
Although a common cause of dark circles under the eyes is facial ageing, this can affect both men and women of all ages and be caused by a number of different factors.
As a result there is no one treatment to fix this common problem and a multi-factorial approach is needed. We offer a number of different treatment modalities to help rejuvenate the eye area.

It is primarily found in adult women between the ages of 20 and 40 but can affect men as well. Melasma often darkens in summer and lightens in the winter and is made worse by heat. Melasma can affect self confidence and be debilitating for some.
Melasma is caused mainly by hormonal factors, frequently onset by pregnancy, the contraceptive pill or those with polycystic ovaries (PCOS). It is further enhanced by sun exposure.

Redness & Rosacea
A common skin condition causing redness, flushing and visible capillaries is known a Rosacea. It is an inflammatory skin disease affecting the face and the underlying cause is yet to be determined. There is a strong genetic link and association with skin bacteria and mites (demodex mite).
Rosacea can also be triggered by diet (gluten and pro-inflammatory foods), alcohol, hot/spicy foods, emotional stress, smoking and heat.
There is no known cure but the symptoms can be managed effectively with regular treatments and an understanding of the underlying triggers.

Red Veins & Vessels
Telangiectasia is a condition where tiny veins cause red patterns on the skin, commonly occurring on the nose, cheeks and chest, though can appear anywhere on the body.
It is the result of damaged fibers that can no longer support underlying vessels, causing vessel dilation. The dilated vessel coils toward the surface of the skin, thereby becoming visible.
These tiny blood vessels result in red clusters on the skin, and are often referred to as spider veins because of their fine and web-like appearance.
